In this article, we will review the steps necessary to add a barcode to your item record. This will allow you to use a barcode scanner to add the item to a sale.
- Open and login
- Go to Database > Items:
- Find your item, and double-click on the record(We will use a Corkscrew item):
- Go to the Alias tab:
- Select Add:
- Scan the barcode using your barcode scanner, and click OK. Don't forget to click OK to save the changes to your item, as well:
Congratulations! You have successfully setup your item to easily scan it into your transactions going forward.
