Add A New TabletPOS Location

This article will discuss adding a new Location for TabletPOS transactions. From start to finish, it will include how to create a new Will Call Shipping Type, create a Location for the TabletPOS and assign a TabletPOS Device to a Location.

Note: You must have access to the System Settings section in the vinSUITE admin panel to set up a TabletPOS location.

Adding a new location can be broken down into three steps:

 

Set up a Will Call Shipping Type

1) In the vinSUITE admin panel, expand the Shipping module in the left hand navigation panel, and open the drop-down menu for Wine Shipping. Click on 'Shipping Types'.

Note: In the eWinery Admin Panel, Shipping Types can be found by clicking on the Store icon and opening the Wine Shipping sub-menu.

2) The Wine Shipping Types page will open in the work space. Click the 'Add A Wine Shipping Type' button.

Note: Click the Pencil Icon Pencil.png in the Actions column to edit Shipping Types in the future.

3) The Edit Shipping Type page will open. There are two smaller sections within the page that will be explained in greater detail.

Note: The Edit Shipping Type page for Product Shipping will not have options for Will Call, Wine Allocations, or Wine Clubs.

Note: The tabs marked with an asterisk are crucial for proper functionality in TabletPOS, so it is highly recommended to complete these tabs.  If you would like to read more about the details for additional fields, please visit the Shipping Types page. 

**Shipping Type Name** Enter 'Will Call' for the name of the Shipping Type.
**Carrier Code**

Enter the 'PIC' for the Carrier Code.

Note: This field is only required if you use Ship Compliant.  

**Active toggle** Set the 'Active' toggle to "YES" if this shipping type should be active in the admin panels. 
Display Order If you have multiple Shipping Types and want them to be displayed in a particular order, enter the numerical position to display this Shipping Type in the drop-down on your website. 
ShipCompliant Tag

Note: This field is only pertinent to wineries who use ShipCompliant.

Please refer to your ShipCompliant admin panel for further instructions. 

 

Will Call Options

A.png **Will Call toggle**

Switch the 'Will Call' toggle to "YES" to be designate this Shipping Type for pick-up for TabletPOS.

Note: This toggle will enable all other Will Call Options. 

B.png 'Mobile POS Only' toggle When the 'Mobile POS Only' toggle is turned "ON," this Shipping Type will only be available via the TabletPOS application. 
C.png **Will Call Fulfillment House**

Select the Fulfillment House where orders will be picked up.

If the orders will be picked up from your winery, select "Fulfill at Winery" from the drop-down list.  

D.png **Will Call License Relationship**

Select "Default" from the drop-down list.

Enter any rate/amount that the customer will be charged to pick-up an order.

Note:  Rates should be entered in US Dollars ($)

Select "Pick up" from the drop-down list.

G.png **Company** Enter the name of the company/winery where orders can be picked up. 
H.png Website URL Enter the website or web address for the company/winery where orders can be picked up. 
I.png **Address** Enter the location of the building/winery where orders can be picked up.

  • Phone Number

 

4) Click the 'Save' button to save your Will Call Shipping Type.

 

Create a new Location for the TabletPOS

1) In the vinSUITE admin panel, click the orange 'Settings'  button in the top right of your screen. From the drop-down menu, choose 'System Settings'.

2) The System Settings will open in the work space. Click the 'Mobile POS' tab from the Settings sub-menu.

Note: In the eWinery Admin Panel, the Mobile POS tab can be found by clicking on the Settings icon and navigating to the MPOS tab.

3) The Mobile POS tab will open.

4) Under Manage Locations, click the 'Add New Location' button.

5) Enter the name to the new TabletPOS Location and click the 'Add Location' button.

6) The new Location will appear in the Locations list.

Note:  The new Location will be inactive until you edit the Pickup Order Settings.

7) Click the 'Edit' icon for the Location.

8) The Pickup Order Settings will open in the work space.

9) Edit any appropriate fields.

Note: The tabs marked with an asterisk are crucial for proper functionality in TabletPOS, so it is highly recommended to complete these tabs.

A.png Pickup Order Name  The name of your Location should appear in this field. Edit your Location name as necessary. 
B.png **Is Active** Check the 'Is Active' box if the location should be an active option for your TabletPOS devices.  
C.png **Tax Rate** Enter the sales tax rate for the region. 
D.png **Shipping Type**

Select Will Call from the Shipping Type drop-down menu .

E.png Save Order Options Under the Save Order Options, there is a  'Prompt to print ticket' checkbox. When checked, the 'Prompt to print ticket' checkbox will prompt a cashier to print a ticket to their receipt printer before they complete the order.
F.png Tip Options

Under the Tip Options, there is a 'Allow tips' and 'Enable Custom Tips Amount' boxes.

If checked, the 'Accepts Tips' checkbox allows a customer to tip a cashier after a successful credit card transaction on the appropriate device.

If checked, the 'Enable Custom Tips Amount' checkbox allows you to manage custom tip amounts, based on percentage of the order amount or a flat dollar amount. Please visit the TabletPOS Custom Tip Amounts page to learn more about Custom Tips.

Note: This feature is only available for credit card transactions.

G.png Open/Close Options

Under the Open/Close Options, there is a 'Enable Open/Close' checkbox. When checked, the 'Enable Open/Close' checkbox will allow specific users to complete daily cash reconciliation for each TabletPOS Location.

10) Click the 'Save' button at the bottom of the page to save any adjusted Pickup Order Settings.

11) Once the information is saved, you will return to the Mobile POS tab.

Note:  The selections in this Pickup Orders Setting page will only affect Locations associated with the TabletPOS app. 

 

Assign a TabletPOS Device to a Location

1) In the vinSUITE admin panel, click the orange 'Settings'  button in the top right of your screen. From the drop-down menu, choose 'System Settings'.

2) The System Settings will open in the work space. Click the 'Mobile POS' tab from the Settings sub-menu.

Note: In the eWinery Admin Panel, the Mobile POS tab can be found by clicking on the Settings icon and navigating to the MPOS tab.

3) The Mobile POS tab will open.

4) Under Manage Devices, click the 'Add New Device' button.

5) Edit any appropriate fields.

A.png **Location** Select the Location this Device should be associated with.
B.png **Device Name** Enter the name of your Device. 
C.png Default Category

Select the event category to narrow down your displayed products options to a chosen category.

Note: This field is optional.

6) Click the 'Add Device' button to save the new Device.

7) Once the information is saved, you will return to the Mobile POS tab. Your new Device will be added to the Manage Devices list and you will be able to edit the Idle Timeout setting.

Your new Location is now set up and ready for use on the TabletPOS application.
