[RealtimeCompliance]: Installation and Configuration

This document will cover the steps to install RealtimeCompliance, as well as the standard configuration of the application.

Estimated time for completion: 45 minutes

Prerequisites:

  • Need Administrator access to ProductControl.

1.  Launch ProductControl and log in.  1.png 

2.  Click on the 'Product Store' button.

3.  Click the green 'Install' button on the RealtimeCompliance line.

4.  Follow the installation wizard to complete the install.


5.  Click the 'Check for Updates' button to bring in the license count.4.png


6.  Right-click on RealtimeCompliance, Register Product and click Register.

7.  Click 'Install All Updates' to update RTC to the latest version.

8. Right-click on RealtimeCompliance, go to RMS Hooks and click Activate.

* A short script will run in the command prompt. Do not exit out of the script. *

* Now set the Configurations for Realtime Compliance *

 

1.  Click the 'Run Application' button to launch RealtimeCompliance.

2.  Click 'File' then 'Configuration'.

3.  At the Settings tab, input applicable settings for your organization.

Input the web services credentials that were created in ShipCompliant.

1. This is necessary to differentiate RMS order from any other orders uploaded to ShipCompliant from other systems, such as orders originating from eCommerce.

2. Map the field from RMS where the customer's birth date is stored.

3. RealtimeCompliance has the ability to force non-compliant orders through, however, they WILL NOT upload to ShipCompliant.
    - Would you like cashiers to be able to force non-compliant orders through? If not, set this option above established Cashier security levels so only Managers can execute this process.

4. Check the 'Use Cash and Carry Upload' button to ensure carry out orders without a customer attached upload to ShipCompliant.  Here you can also sort by 'Shipping Rates'.

Default Tax

Under the 'Default Sales Tax' section, you can choose what default sales tax to use for non-shipping orders.

Order Tag

ShipCompliant allows for orders processed at POS with RealtimeCompliance to be tagged in their system. Input your tag in the 'Static Tag:' field.

Schedule Automation

Under the 'Schedule Automation' section, you can schedule your orders to be exported/imported automatically.

Cash & Carry Order Tag

You can add a tag to 'Cash and Carry' Orders.

Cash & Carry Fulfillment Account Number

You can select an account number for all Cash and Carry orders.

Notification Setup

This is where you will Setup your notification email settings.

Zero Dollar Tender

Specify your zero dollar payment tender types.

1.  Click the 'Use Destination Sales Tax' checkbox to enable RealtimeCompliance to override the RMS taxing system.
 - This will create a line item tax that is calculated based on the taxable items being shipped. The tax will not appear on a receipt as it would on a carry out sale.
 - The 'Destination Tax Item Lookup Code' field is used as a line item applied to shipping orders.
 - The input in this field will show up on receipt

2.  The 'Tax Shipping Charge in Assigned State' checkbox will enable/disable the ability to assign tax to shipping charges for states where they are applicable. (Configuration on States tab)

3.  The 'Update Tax Rates' section is used to automate tax change data.  This information gets pulled directly from Ship Compliant and will auto calculate the state's tax.

1.  Do you want to tax the shipping charge to that state?

2.  Set your shipping zones for each state.

2A. You can add, edit, and delete zones from your primary carrier in the 'Zone Name' table.

3.  If you would like to override the tax going to a given state.

4.  Import states that you ship to from RMS.

 *Carrier/Service *

At the bottom left, Click 'Import Carrier/Service from RMS' to bring in your carriers and services previously established in RMS.

Verify that your Imported Carriers from RMS are correct, as well as, what Fulfillment Center each carrier/service decrements from.


Map the applicable RMS Service for the chosen RMS Carrier.

There will need to be a Service for each Zone (ex. 2Day - Zone 1, 2Day - Zone 2,etc.)

Select the applicable Service Type for the chosen RMS Carrier

Select 'Always Ship NOW if Compliant'

If a Carrier and/or Service is missing, go back into RMS and create the missing Carrier and/or Service, then come back and click 'Import Carrier/Service from RMS' button again.

     * Department Shipping *

At the bottom left, click the 'Load RMS Departments' to pull in the departments configured in RMS.

In the 'Action' field, decide whether departments contain shippable items. If so, mark 'SHIP'. Otherwise, mark 'EXCLUDE'

Any Department marked 'SHIP' must have a Product Type assigned to it, and those marked as "EXCLUDE do not.

  1. If 'Use Single Brand' is chosen, enter an order prefix in the 'Single Brand Key' text box. This ensures that orders originating from the POS are tagged with this prefix to be differentiated from other order sources down the road.
  2. Percent Alcohol: Make sure the option you choose here matches the field used for Alcohol percentage in RMS.
  3. Varietal: Make sure the option you choose here matches the field used for Varietal in RMS.
  4. Vintage: Make sure the field you choose here matches the field used for Vintage in RMS.
  5. Volume Amount: Make sure the field you choose here matches the field used for Volume Amount information in RMS.
  6. Volume Unit Default: Choose the default unit of measure for wine products
