[CartConnect]: Configure Order Import by Order Type

This tutorial will show you how to configure vinSUITE orders when they imported into RMS.  More specifically, how to assign a register number, and decide which orders will decrement the RMS inventory.

 

1.  Open ProductControl

2.  Select CartConnect and Run Application

3.  On the Left, please choose "Connections"

4.  Choose the "Orders" tab on the right

5.  Configure the Order Import Defaults    *Values must already exist in RMS

  • Cashier Name will determine which RMS cashier will be attached to the imported orders
  • Tender Code will determine the tender type that will be attached to the imported orders
  • Posting Register will determine the default register that will be attached to orders that are not configured in the Order Type configuration

6.  Click on the "Set Import Options by Order Type"

  • Configure the Order Type settings.  In this example, we have created 2 order types.  MobilePOS (for tPOS sales) and ALL (All other orders such as Club, Admin, Store, etc.)
  • MobilePOS Orders:

    • Will Import into RMS to Register 1
    • Will Decrement the RMS inventory
  • ALL Other Orders:

    • Will NOT Import into RMS
    • Will NOT Decrement the RMS inventory

 

In this next example, we have added a few more order types and chosen to import them in different ways:

As you can see, each order type is configured differently.

MobilePOS Orders:

  • Will Import into RMS to Register 1
  • Will Decrement the RMS inventory

Club Orders:

  • Will Import into RMS to Register 2
  • Will NOT Decrement Inventory

Admin Orders:

  • Will Import into RMS to Register 3
  • Will NOT Decrement Inventory

ALL other orders:

  • Will follow the default settings listed in STEP 5

 

7.  Click Save/Close to save your changes.  All new order imports in CartConnect will be assigned to RMS as configured here.
