What are Location Settings in Mobile POS?
In the System Settings, the Mobile POS tab controls some of the general functions for the TabletPOS application. From the Mobile POS tab, an admin user can configure locations that are accessible for tablets. These locations can be set up to reflect the actual address and different locations within of the venue, as well as the tax rate and shipping preferences from the Pickup Order Settings page.
Note: You must have access to the System Settings section in the vinSUITE admin panel to set up a TabletPOS location.
Edit Pickup Order Settings for TabletPOS Locations
1) In the vinSUITE admin panel, click the orange 'Settings' button in the top right of your screen. From the drop-down menu, choose 'System Settings'.
2) The System Settings will open in the work space. Click the 'Mobile POS' tab from the Settings sub-menu.
3) Click the Edit icon for the selected Location under the Mobile POS page > Manage Locations.
4) The Pickup Order Settings will open in the work space.
5) Edit any appropriate fields.
Note: The tabs marked with an asterisk are crucial for proper functionality in TabletPOS, so it is highly recommended to complete these tabs.
|Pickup Order Name||The name of your Location should appear in this field. Edit your Location name as necessary.|
|Is Active||Check the 'Is Active' box if the location should be an active option for your TabletPOS devices.|
|Tax Rate||Enter the sales tax rate for the region.|
Select Will Call from the Shipping Type drop-down menu for TabletPOS.
Note: Each Shipping Type is associated with an address, which will appear below once a Shipping Type is selected. However, this address, along with Fulfillment House and License Relationship, is not editable from the Pickup Order page.
Navigate to the Shipping section > Wine Shipping/Product Shipping > Shipping Types to edit Shipping Types. Please visit the TabletPOS Add a Location page for more information about creating a Will Call Shipping Type.
|Save Order Options||Under the Save Order Options, there is a 'Prompt to print ticket' checkbox. When checked, the 'Prompt to print ticket' checkbox will prompt a cashier to print a ticket to their receipt printer before they complete the order.|
Under the Tip Options, there is a 'Allow tips' and 'Enable Custom Tips Amount' boxes.
When checked, the 'Accepts Tips' checkbox allows a customer to tip a cashier after a successful credit card transaction on the appropriate device.
When checked, the 'Enable Custom Tips Amount' checkbox allows you to manage custom tip amounts, based on percentage of the order amount or a flat dollar amount. Please visit the TabletPOS Custom Tip Amounts page to learn more about Custom Tips.
Note: This feature is only available for credit card transactions.
Under the Open/Close Options, there is a 'Enable Open/Close' checkbox. When checked, the 'Enable Open/Close' checkbox will allow specific users to complete daily cash reconciliation for each TabletPOS Location.

6) Click the 'Save' button at the bottom of the page to save any adjusted Pickup Order Settings. Once the information is saved, you will return to the Mobile POS tab.
Note: The selections in this Pickup Orders Setting page will only affect Locations associated with the TabletPOS app.
