Setting up Shipping Options: Shipping Types

What are Shipping Types?

Once you have arranged your Zones and assigned the States, the next step is to set up Shipping Types. In vinSUITE, Shipping Types categorize and determine the delivery options available to your customers. Shipping Types establish how your customers will receive your products, whether they're coming directly to the winery or need cross-country shipping.

Setting up Shipping Types

1) In the vinSUITE admin panel, expand the ‘Shipping’ section in the left hand navigation panel, and open the drop-down menu for Wine Shipping or Product Shipping. Click on ‘Shipping Types’.

2) The Wine Shipping Types page will open in the work space. Click the 'Add A Wine Shipping Type' button.

Note: Click the Pencil Icon Pencil.png in the Actions column to edit Shipping Types in the future.

3) The Edit Shipping Type page will open. There are two smaller sections within the page that will be explained in greater detail.

E.png  'Lowest Cost Shipping Type' toggle

When the 'Lowest Cost Shipping Type' toggle is turned "ON," this Shipping Type will be marked as the most inexpensive shipping option on your website.

When this toggle is switched "ON", this shipping type is available for use with other promotions that are restricted to the 'Lowest Cost Shipping Type'.

Note: Discounts on shipping charges are always applied to the Shipping Type designated the 'Lowest Cost Shipping Type'.

F.png  'Display at Club Signup' toggle

When the 'Display at Club Signup' toggle is turned "ON," customers on your website will be able to select an individual Shipping Type when they sign up for a club, rather than being enrolled with the default shipping type.

If the 'Display on Club Signup' toggle is turned on, all available clubs have access to select an individual Shipping Type.

Tip: It is useful to have more than one Shipping Type available for customers, so they have multiple shipping type options.

G.png  'Allocation Only' toggle

When the 'Allocation Only' toggle is turned "ON," this Shipping Type will only be available to Allocation members.

H.png  'Club Only' toggle When the 'Club Only' toggle is turned "ON," this Shipping Type will only be available to Club members.

Note: While Wine Shipping is required for all wineries, Product Shipping is optional and only needs to be completed if you plan to ship non-wine products. If you plan to ship non-wine products, Shipping Types must be set up similarly for both Wine Shipping and Product Shipping.
