Event Category

What is Event Category?

We have built this feature to assist your team operations in an event setting. With this feature, we wanted to add a tool to help you keep your team focused on selling your wine during a busy event. The event category works by giving you the option to lock a particular device record to a specific category, and giving added control over your team's workflow.
 

Event Category Set Up

To enable event category for a device, you will need to edit the settings of the device you plan to use. This is done through your vinSUITE or eWinery Admin Panel in your TabletPOS settings.

Note: Choosing an event category for a device will lock that device to only display items from within that Category.
 

Enable Event Categories in vinSUITE

1) In the vinSUITE admin panel, click the orange 'Settings'  button in the top right of your screen. From the drop-down menu, choose 'System Settings'.

2) The System Settings will open in the work space. Click the 'Mobile POS' tab from the Settings sub-menu.

3) Click the 'Edit' icon for the device that you plan to use for your event.

4) Select the desired event category.

5) Click the 'Save Device' button to save your changes. Once you have made the adjustment, your changes will take effect the next time you log into the TabletPOS system. Now your staff can focus on working the event and selling wine!

1) In the eWinery admin panel, click on the Settings icon.

3) Click the 'Edit' icon for the device that you plan to use for your event.

4) Select the desired event category.

5) Click the 'Save Device' button to save your changes. Once you have made the adjustment, your changes will take effect the next time you log into the TabletPOS system. Now your staff can focus on working the event and selling wine!
