Best Practices for Better Holidays

Always test your discounts!

  • Be sure to set up multiple members in your admin panel for testing
  • Have a least one test member for each club level
  • Log in on your website and place test orders to make sure discounts are applying correctly

What to do if your promotion isn't working?

  • Discounts will only be applied if an order meets all the requirements set up in the discount (and they can get pretty specific!)
  • Review each setting in the admin panel for the discount to find out which requirement is not being met.
  • Adjust the discount requirements if necessary

Boost Revenue with Cart Recovery

The holidays can be the busiest time of the year for you and your customers. Take advantage of the arrival of new browsers and those distracted shoppers by implementing a Cart Recovery program. You can use any of these three tools (or all of them) to bring shoppers back to your site, after they get distracted with holiday chores.

Automated Cart Recovery

Cart Recovery is an automated email program that alerts customers that have added items to their online cart, but leave the website before checking out. This software identifies those customers in real time and sends them a series of customizable reminder emails. These emails are specifically tailored to bring that customer back to your site to complete checkout, which allows you to recover the revenue that would have been lost otherwise.

ExampleEmail.png

Cart Recovery captures your client’s activities and records the items added to their cart while a customer browses your site. While they're shopping, the system collects data, like the customer's email address, to send recovery emails. A customer's email can be captured whenever an existing member logs in, a new customer joins a mailing list, newsletter, or wine club, and when a customer starts to checkout.

Tip:  Didn't capture that customer's email? The Cookie Pool Email Database identifies customers by using unique metrics that finds their email address if they've previously logged in to your site or other sites. They are tagged with an anonymous cookie ID and vinSUITE’s cart recovery tool pulls in the customer’s information by tapping into a nationwide abandonment database. This feature is optional to use based on your winery's privacy concerns.

CookiePool.png

Cart Recovery tool will send out 3 reminder emails to drive customers to complete their purchase. You can individually design each email and vinSUITE is always available to assist you with A/B testing and the timing between each message.

Example :

  • 1st email: Sent after 20 minutes - The message is a gentle reminder that you saved a customer's cart and lets them know you are available and willing to help.
  • 2nd email: Sent after 24 hours - This message can highlight the benefits of your products or company or create a sense of urgency if a product is almost out of stock.
  • 3rd email: Sent after 2 days - This last message can incentivize a purchase with a promotion, like a 10% off promo code or free shipping, depending on your unique branding.

Browse Abandonment Campaigns

Browse abandonment campaigns reach into your conversion funnel to re-engage the 98% of your window shoppers who never add anything to their cart.

BrowseAbondonment.png

Just like Cart abandonment, there are three customizable emails that you can send at different times to draw the customer back to your site. Escalating messages providing different offers can help promote conversion.

Exit Intent Pop-Ups

Exit Intent Pop-Ups are pop-ups that appear as soon as a shopper shows signs of trying to leave your site, like scrolling towards the exit button. You can disrupt their exit with an enticing offer, discount, or promotion that leads customer to stay on your site and keep shopping. This tool has an average of a 57% opt-in rate and can be used capture more emails for your campaigns, recover lost sales, and improve your overall site conversion.
